AMA Suzuki Superbike Showdown – Braselton, GA
On the weekend of April 3th- 4th, Josh Borne teamed up with streetbike freestyle riders, Aaron Twite and Joe Dryden, to add a little flare to the 2009 AMA Suzuki Superbike Shootout at Road Atlanta in Braselton, GA. The pro-athletes entertained over 600 superbike fans by performing high-energy tricks on the racetrack in between heats. Motorcycle and extreme sports enthusiasts gathered in massive crowds to catch a glimpse of the freestyle extraordinaires. Josh Borne’s impressive wall stalls and high-precision 50/50 circles, on his Honda CBR600 F4i, were instant hits, while Aaron Twite preformed tricky aerobatic front flips off his Kawaski636 Ninja. Joe Dryden was in the middle of the action with his intense burn outs on his new Aprilla Shiver 750.
βIt is my first time riding at Road Atlanta. It is an honor to ride at such a high class racing facility. I am also excited to ride with Aaron and Joe. Not only are we great friends, but also top competitors on the professional circuit. Riding with that caliber of talent pushes us all to be at the top of our game.β β Josh Borne
Although the show was excellent, Borne regrettably had to miss the opening round of the XDL Championship Series in Lake Havasu, Arizona. Borne plans on pushing the limit in Nashville for round II of the series in an effort to gain ground for the FMF Cup. For more information on the XDL Championship Series please check www.xdlshow.com.
