Tennessee Flood Releif

Nashville Flood

XDL Nashville  – “Motorcyclists Give Back”

Los Angeles, CA (May 6, 2010) — On May 1st and 2nd torrential rains hit Nashville and Middle Tennessee triggering a hundred year flood. We’ve all seen the images on TV and on the web. With a competition scheduled for May 14 & 15 at Nashville Superspeedway, XDL has been thrust in the middle of one of the worst natural disasters to ever hit the area. For those traveling to Nashville that are worried about the impact of the flooding, please rest assured that all XDL activities listed in this release will take place as planned. More importantly, Nashville needs us now and it is time to lend a hand. Even if you are just riding in to enjoy the weekend, you’ll be spending money on lodging, food and entertainment and that helps the local economy. 2010 marks the third year of XDL in Nashville and over that time we have built a lot of relationships in the area and it is home to some of our most avid fans. So it didn’t take us long to figure out that we needed to do our share to help. One thing led to another and in conjunction with our friends at WBUZ/WPRT, Precision Motorsports and Revolution MC we are starting “Motorcyclists Give Back”, an effort to get the motorcycle community nationwide to lend a helping hand in this horrible situation. As part of the XDL event, we will do the following:

1. Donate half the event profits to flood relief
2. Collect bottled water, dry goods, canned food and clothing at all the activities listed in this release
3. Perform probono shows at shelters (times and places TBA)

You can do your share by doing what is needed the most: donating money. It only takes a couple minutes to send $10 so please do it. Lets join together and do our share to help those in need and show that the motorcycle community stands united to help the people of Nashville.
