On Sunday, June 7th, Josh Borne amazed Decatur, Indiana residents with a high-energy performance at the 20th Anniversary Mayor’s Ride. This was a homecoming event for the Decatur native and the crowd cheered as the nationally-ranked pro athlete took Mayor, John Schultz, for a spin on a brand new 2009 Yamaha R1. Being an avid supporter of motorcycle safety and awareness, Josh Borne was honored to ride for event hosts, Woodson Motorsports and ABATE of Indiana Region Zero. The day was a huge success as motorcyclists rode from Woodson Motorsports in Fort Wayne to downtown Decatur. Woodson’s General Manger, Mike Akles, generously provided a variety of new Yamaha models for Borne to perform on and demonstrate. In addition to the stock Yamaha R1, Josh also preformed on his custom competition freestyle Honda CBR600 f4i.

“It was such a good feeling to ride in front of my hometown, family and friends. As a freestyle competitor, I am always looking for ways to promote the sport in a professional and positive light, but coming back home adds an element of pride to my riding. It is an honor to ride and represent Fort Wayne and Decatur, Indiana.” – Josh Borne
